About the Waterfront Rescue Mission

Where do the Homeless go when they need a place to sleep? Where can a hungry person get a meal? What about someone who has an alcohol or drug problem? Who helps the poor when they need clothing and furniture?

The Waterfront Rescue Mission has been ministering to the poor and needy along the Gulf Coast since 1949.

What started as a ministry to down and out fishermen along South Palafox Street in Pensacola has blossomed into a ministry to the poor and needy from Mobile, Alabama to Ft. Walton Beach and Crestview, Florida

In addition to the ministries to the poor and needy the Waterfront Mission also operates six Bargain Centers and an Auto Donation/Sales Department. All of the ministries and industries that are under the umbrella of the Waterfront Rescue Mission are highlighted on our ministry pages on this site

Our aim is to demonstrate God’s goodness by providing Rescue and Recovery Services in Jesus’ Name.
