Waterfront Rescue Mission and EscaRosa Coalition on the Homeless Receive Proclamation for
National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week

Pensacola, Fla. November 6, 2009 - The Escambia Board of County Commissioners presented a proclamation to the president of the Waterfront Rescue Mission, Mick Breault, and the director of the EscaRosa Coalition on the Homeless, Brunie Emmanuel, in honor of National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week last night at one of the Commissioners monthly meetings.
Each year, the week before Thanksgiving, the National Coalition for the Homeless and the National Student Campaign Against Hunger and Homelessness co-sponsor National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week (NHHAW). During this week, a number of communities and cities take part in a nationwide effort to bring greater awareness to the problems of hunger and homelessness.
This is the third year the Waterfront Rescue Mission has been a proud proponent and participant of National Hunger and

Homelessness Awareness Week. The Waterfront Rescue Mission has partnered with the EscaRosa Coalition on the Homeless for this national event and together they have planned several activities that allow the entire community to become involved in spreading the truth about homelessness. The week of NHAAW will fall on November 15-21. See below for a full schedule of events during National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week.
Please note that some events do not have all the information listed. Make sure to visit www.waterfrontmission.org or call 1-888-853-8655 for more details about National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week.
