The Waterfront Rescue Mission has secured 3.3 acres of land at 350 W. Herman Street and will be moving its rescue shelter from downtown Pensacola to a newly constructed 32,000 s. ft. building. The current Mission shelter has been in service for several decades and no longer provides adequate space for the Mission's needs. The new shelter will provide a total of 124 beds, up from 65 in its current shelter.

This property also has an existing 7,200 sq. ft. building that the Mission will renovate to create a day resource center. Working with other service providers in the area, the Mission will provide a safe place for homeless men, women and children to come during the day for assistance.

The Waterfront Rescue Mission is currently raising funds for this new rescue shelter and day resource center through a capital campaign entitled Building Hope for Tomorrow. For more information or to find out how you can donate to help construct this new shelter and day resource center for the homeless please call 850-478-4027.
