Record Highs Increase Need at Local Shelters

The Waterfront Rescue Mission needs your help to cool down our local homeless.

7/19/2010- The warmer months are upon us along the Gulf Coast which for most of us means it's time for barbeques, beach visits and time spent with family. Although, the warmer temperatures can definitely be a comfort to those without shelter, the extreme high temperatures and constant burning sun can put many in danger. Add the hurricane season and other types of dangerous weather that summer can bring and you've got a problem if you don't have a roof over your head.

The Waterfront Rescue Mission needs your help now to supply for the needs of those living in the constant heat this summer. To help them protect themselves from the elements the following items are needed.

Waterfront Rescue Mission "Hot Weather" Needs:

Bottled water/Gatorade
