How did my name get on your mailing list?

Twice a year Waterfront Rescue Mission has acquisition drives to gain new donors to help keep our programs afloat. We do this through special mailings where lists of names are rented for a one-time use. Your name may have been included on one of these lists.

How can I tell where my contribution is going?

If a gift or donation is unspecified, we will put it toward the area where it is most needed. A gift, however, may be designated toward a specific facility or program by written notation. An annual report of Waterfront Rescue Mission’s accountability is always available upon request.

Why does the Mission send me all this stuff in the mail?

Direct mail is the best tool that we have for making the community aware of Waterfront Rescue Mission's goals and communicating our financial needs to those concerned about the people we serve. We know that not everyone may be able to give every time they receive a request from us, but we also know that it is our responsibility to keep the needs of the homeless, hungry and hurting in front of those who can help.

Can I cut back on the amount of mail I receive?

Yes. We would love to talk to you about our mailing options. Call 1-888-853-8655 to communicate your needs.

What should I do if I have a new address?

Notify Waterfront Rescue Mission of your new address, or any new contact information either by making the necessary changes on your latest response device, or call 1-888-853-8655 with your updated information.

Can I give monthly, instead of getting all of your mailings?
