Holiday Banquets

 Great Thanksgiving Banquet and Christmas Feast!

Every year on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day the Waterfront Rescue Mission continues the tradition of opening its doors to the homeless and hungry men, women and children of the Gulf Coast by hosting its annual Thanksgiving and Christmas Banquets.

A traditional holiday feast is served to those in need along with a celebration of the season. Each year the Mission serves hundreds of meals on-campus and delivers thousands more through the help of our amazing volunteers. Food is served, music is enjoyed and those who attend join together in rejoicing the holiday season.

Thanksgiving and Christmas Banquet Locations:

An on-campus banquet is held at all three Mission sites on both Thanksgiving and Christmas Day:

Meal Delivery:

If you, or someone you know, are unable to attend the on-campus meal, a meal(s) can be delivered to you if you live within the Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa or Walton Counties in Florida; or if you live within Mobile County in Alabama. If you need meals for Thanksgiving Day please call beginning November 1, 2010 to place your order. If you need meals for Christmas Day please call beginning December 1, 2010 to place your order. We are unable to take orders for meals before this date.

When placing your order we will need the following information:
1. Name
2. Valid address to deliver meals
3. Phone number that can be called in case of emergencies (i.e. getting lost)
4. How many meals you need

Note: These meals are intended for those who are unable to provide a traditional holiday meal for themselves and/or their families due to either financial reasons or physical disabilities.

Holiday Banquet Volunteer Sign-Up 2010:

The Waterfront Rescue Mission holds the Thanksgiving and Christmas Banquets at all three Mission locations (Fort Walton Beach, Mobile and Pensacola). If you would like to volunteer for the Thanksgiving Banquet please call beginning November 1, 2010 to sign up for a volunteer position. If you would like to volunteer for the Christmas Banquet please call beginning December 1, 2010 to sign up for a volunteer position. Note: All information is subject to change as the holidays approach, please check back for changes or call (888) 853-8655.

A few of the Holiday Volunteer positions:

There are several positions to fill over the holiday season. If you are unable to volunteer on Thanksgiving or Christmas Day be sure to ask about volunteer positions that are needed leading up to the holidays.

Photographer: Documents the entire day of the banquet by taking photos of the event and those involved.
Delivery Driver: Deliver meals to needy families.
Banquet Runners: Replenish food on serving line as needed.
Banquet Servers: Serves meals to homeless guests at banquet.
Clean-up: Break down tables & chairs following event
