The New Hope Home is a
36-bed facility operated by the Waterfront Rescue Mission
that provides a 12-week residential rehabilitation program
designed to help men recovering from drug and alcohol addiction.
To enroll at New Hope Home, a man must first be admitted and
screened by one of the three Rescue Missions operated by the
Waterfront Rescue Mission. The Missions are in downtown Pensacola,
Ft. Walton Beach, and Mobile.
New Hope Home’s Bible-based curriculum offers a rigorous
program of teaching, individual and group counseling, and
opportunities for personal and spiritual enrichment. These
include computer-based literacy and academic instruction.
The highly structured program also integrates work therapy
as a component for rebuilding the lives of men in recovery.
While residing at New Hope Home, men are on a regimented schedule
and are provided balanced meals on a scheduled basis. Outside
recreational activities are planned for once a week. Ping
pong, billiards, and a well-equipped weight and exercise room
are available.
Opened in 1972, New Hope Home is a haven for needy, downtrodden
men to reshape their lives in the refuge of the facility located
in Gulf Breeze, Florida. Participation in the addiction recovery
program is voluntary and free. |
